1.2 Data Controller For the purposes of the Act, FavourFound acts as the Data Controller. This means we determine the purposes and means of processing your personal data. By accessing our website, submitting intake forms, or engaging our services, you consent to the data practices described in this Policy.
2. CATEGORIES OF DATA COLLECTED To facilitate safe, compatible, and Christ-centered matchmaking, we collect specific categories of data. We minimize data collection to what is strictly necessary for our services.
2.1 Voluntarily Provided Information
Identity Data: Full legal name, date of birth, age, and photographs. Government-issued ID is collected strictly for verification purposes and is not displayed on public profiles.
Contact Data: Email address, telephone number (WhatsApp), and parish/country of residence.
Transaction Data: Details regarding payments to and from you, and other details of products and services you have purchased from us.
2.2 Sensitive Personal Data (Special Categories) Under the Jamaican Data Protection Act, we process "Sensitive Personal Data" which requires heightened protection. By submitting this data, you provide explicit consent for us to use it for matchmaking purposes. This includes:
Religious Beliefs: Denomination, church attendance, theological stances, and spiritual practices.
Health Data: Self-reported physical, mental, or emotional health history relevant to marriage readiness.
Criminal History: Information regarding past convictions or lack thereof (collected strictly for safety vetting).
Lifestyle & Biographic Data: Marital history (divorce decrees), family background, financial standing, and relationship history.
2.3 Automatically Collected Data & Cookies When you visit our website, our servers may automatically log standard data provided by your web browser, including your device type, IP address, browser type, and page interaction history.
Cookies: We use cookies to enhance user experience and analyze site traffic. We do not use cookies for third-party behavioral advertising. You may adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies, though this may limit your ability to use certain features of our site.
3. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING We process your personal data based on the following lawful grounds under the Act:
Consent: You have given clear consent (via check-box or signature) for us to process your personal and sensitive data for the specific purpose of matchmaking.
Contractual Necessity: Processing is necessary to fulfill our Service Agreement with you (e.g., to deliver the ALIGN™ curriculum, process payments, or facilitate introductions).
Legitimate Interests: Processing is necessary for our legitimate interests in maintaining the safety of our database, preventing fraud, and ensuring the physical security of our clients.
Legal Obligation: Processing is necessary to comply with the law (e.g., reporting requirements to the Jamaica Constabulary Force if required).
4. PURPOSE OF DATA PROCESSING & NO SALE GUARANTEE We process your information solely to:
Verify Identity: Ensure the authenticity of all participants to prevent fraud and "catfishing."
Assess Compatibility: Utilize your values, theology, and personality traits to identify suitable Kingdom matches.
Service Delivery: Provide coaching, guidance, event access, and introductions.
Safety & Security: Conduct background checks and screen for safety risks.
No Sale of Data: We do not sell, trade, rent, or monetize your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is used exclusively for the services provided by FavourFound.
5. DISCLOSURE AND SHARING OF DATA We respect the highly confidential nature of matchmaking. We share your data only under specific, controlled circumstances:
5.1 With Potential Matches (The "Double-Blind" Process) We share your profile data (First Name, Photos, Values, Interests) with a potential match only after our vetting process suggests compatibility.
Restricted Data: We NEVER share your last name, phone number, email address, or exact physical address with a match without your mutual, written consent (usually after a match is approved by both parties).
5.2 With Trusted Service Providers We utilize third-party data processors to support our operations. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and process it only on our instructions:
Cloud Storage & Forms: Google Workspace (for secure document retention).
Payment Processors: WiPay and PayPal (for secure financial transactions). FavourFound does not store credit card details locally.
Communication Tools: Google Meets and WhatsApp Business (for coaching and verification calls).
5.3 Legal Requirements We may disclose your personal information where required to do so by law, court order, or a lawful request by a government authority (e.g., safeguarding investigations).
6. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS Some of our third-party service providers (specifically Google, Zoom, EventBrite, Amazon and PayPal) operate servers outside of Jamaica. Whenever we transfer your personal data out of Jamaica, we ensure safeguards are in place, including reliance on providers who adhere to international security standards (such as GDPR compliance) or specific contractual clauses approved for use in Jamaica.
7. DATA SECURITY We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorized way.
Measures: These include SSL encryption, password-protected databases, and restricted access protocols (only authorized staff access sensitive files).
Client Responsibility: You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential. Please notify us immediately at admin@favourfound.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
8. DATA RETENTION We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for.
Active Clients: Data is retained for the duration of your membership.
Inactive/Deleted Clients: Upon submission of a Termination Form, we will permanently delete your "Deep Dive" profile, including sensitive health and spiritual disclosures, within 30 days.
Legal Retention: We retain basic identity (Name, DOB) and transaction records for seven (7) years for tax, audit, and fraud prevention purposes (to prevent banned members from re-registering).
9. THIRD-PARTY LINKS (AMAZON & AFFILIATES) Our website may include links to third-party websites, plug-ins, and applications (e.g., Amazon Books, Eventbrite). Clicking on those links may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. We do not control these third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy statements.
10. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER THE DATA PROTECTION ACT As a "Data Subject" in Jamaica, you have specific rights regarding your personal data:
Right to be Informed: To know exactly how your data is being used.
Right of Access: To request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification: To request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to Erasure: To ask us to delete your data (subject to our legal retention obligations).

Right to Restrict Processing: To ask us to suspend the processing of your data in certain scenarios.

12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date." Your continued use of the service 30 days after such changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
