The Heart Behind the Calling

I've always believed that relationships deserve to be approached with care, and that marriage is far too significant to pursue without thought, wisdom, or intention.

My Christian faith shapes how I understand relationships. I see marriage not simply as the achievement of a personal dream, but as a covenant that calls for character, faithfulness, mutual responsibility, and a willingness to grow.

Over time, I became increasingly interested in the space between desiring a godly marriage and being equipped to pursue one wisely.

How do we recognise character? How do we distinguish genuine compatibility from initial attraction? How do we communicate our values, establish healthy boundaries, and approach relationships without losing ourselves in the process?

These are questions that deserve more than vague advice to pray and wait. They deserve thoughtful, biblical, and practical engagement.

MY STORY

Why I Founded FavourFound

I founded FavourFound to help address a gap I believe matters: Christian singles need more than opportunities to meet people. They also need opportunities to prepare, develop relational wisdom, and approach connections with intention.

I wanted to create something that brought these pieces together.

FavourFound grew into a Christian relationship wellness ecosystem offering coaching, matchmaking, structured discernment support, community events, and Kingdom resources. Each serves a different purpose, but they share one conviction: the journey towards marriage deserves both spiritual grounding and practical wisdom.

My goal is not simply to help people meet. It is to help them approach relationships more thoughtfully, recognise what matters, and make decisions that align with their faith and values.

THE FOUNDING STORY

I Don't Believe in Matching Profiles Alone.

A person is more than a list of preferences, hobbies, achievements, or demographic details.

When I consider compatibility, I look beyond whether two people appear suitable on paper. I want to understand their faith, values, marriage intentions, character, relational expectations, and readiness to pursue a healthy relationship.

I also recognise that compatibility cannot be reduced to a checklist. Two people may share important beliefs and still discover that they are not suited to one another. Attraction, communication, life circumstances, personal responsibility, and mutual willingness all matter.

My role is to facilitate thoughtful introductions and provide a process that supports discernment — not to decide whom someone must marry or claim certainty about God's specific plan for a relationship.

Preparation, Not Just Introduction.

I believe a thoughtful matchmaking process begins with listening.

Before considering introductions, I want to understand the person behind the application: their faith, their story, their marriage vision, their values, and the qualities they are seeking in a spouse.

Preparation is part of that process. Where appropriate, coaching helps clients examine their expectations, strengthen their relational skills, and approach dating with greater clarity.

From there, matchmaking involves a considered search for compatibility, appropriate screening, and intentional introductions when a suitable opportunity is identified.

When a mutual match develops, CONNECT™ provides a structured framework to help couples navigate the discernment process.

I cannot promise that every introduction will become a relationship, or that every relationship will lead to marriage. What I can offer is a deliberate process grounded in preparation, care, and honest communication.

My work at FavourFound draws on several areas of experience and learning, including medicine, education, biblical teaching, and professional matchmaking training.

These disciplines inform my commitment to thoughtful communication, continuous learning, personal responsibility, and the importance of treating people with care.

I also recognise the limits of my role. Matchmaking and relationship coaching are not substitutes for medical care, mental-health treatment, pastoral oversight, or professional counselling where those services are needed.

CREDENTIALS

Faith Is the Foundation, Not an Accessory.

My Christian faith is not an additional feature of my work; it is the foundation from which I approach it.

Scripture shapes my understanding of covenant, faithfulness, character, wisdom, and the responsibility we have towards one another.

Proverbs 4:7 teaches us to pursue wisdom, and I believe that wisdom belongs in our approach to relationships too. Prayer matters. So does discernment. So do honest conversations, wise counsel, and paying attention to what a relationship reveals over time.

I believe we can trust God while taking responsibility for the decisions before us. We can hope for marriage without treating every promising connection as a divine guarantee, and we can pursue relationships intentionally without allowing urgency to override wisdom.
